Obtain a block of wood that is slightly larger than your stamp.

Ink up the stamp, and make an impression of your design on top of the wooden block.

Let the ink dry thouroughly, and then apply laquer or varnish to the block.

Once the varnish has dried, attach the uncarved side of the eraser to the bottom of the block with rubber cement.

Congratulations! You have just made your very own hand-carved rubber stamp!!

Feel free to drop me a line and tell me of your experiences with this carving technique. I am Der Mad Stamper.
